About Shyanne Levesque,
Artist & Instructor

shayeneHello, I'm Shyanne Levesque, a full-time artist and instructor with a deep passion for using natural materials in my work. Here's a glimpse into my story: I was born and raised in the charming rural town of Burnham, Maine, where I still live today with my husband and our four dogs. Growing up in the late '70s and early '80s, life moved at a slower pace. With the nearest shopping centers 40 miles away, my sister (who shares the same birthday as me) and I had to get creative with our playtime. We often turned to nature, crafting projects from what we found around us—once even setting up a painted rock stand, much like a lemonade stand, which sold a few pieces to our kind neighbor Melba. These early experiences instilled in me a profound appreciation for the natural beauty of Maine. My sister and I spent our days exploring the woods, swimming in local ponds, and chasing fireflies. We learned to use our imaginations and find joy in the simple wonders of the world around us.
Fast forward forty years, and although life has become much faster, my love for nature has only deepened. I've always been a collector of interesting rocks and natural items. When I discovered pebble art, it felt like the perfect way to use the treasures I'd gathered over the years. Since then, I've been creating and sharing beautiful pebble art, transforming simple stones into pieces of art.
I offer kits so you can create your own artwork, hoping to inspire you to see the beauty in nature and unleash your creativity. It's incredibly rewarding to see others experience that "Ah-Ha" moment when they realize they've made something beautiful from simple materials. In addition to pebble art, I teach a variety of classes that include painting, pressed flowers, moss gardens, pinecone succulents, wreaths, and more. There's so much potential in the natural world for creating stunning art and seasonal decorations.
I feel truly blessed to do what I love, especially seeing the joy on people's faces when they complete their projects. Life can be challenging, but finding a moment of creative triumph can bring a smile and a sense of accomplishment. Join me on this creative journey and discover the joy of making art from nature. Once you start, you'll never look at rocks the same way again.

Happy Pebbling!
